SpeedBurst can be enabled in conjunction with traffic shaping rules to allow users to burst up to four times their allotted bandwidth limit for a period of up to five seconds.
However, sometimes limiting data rates for brief downloads is unnecessary and contributes to poorer user experience. Administrators may find it useful to limit the data rate allocated per user to prevent bandwidth hogging.
